In South Florida a teen died in front of a live online audience. The teen died of a drug overdose 12 hours after blogging about his plan to commit suicide.

Abraham Biggs, 19, died on Wednesday from a drug overdose consisting of opiates, antidepressants and sleeping pills. One of the drugs was prescribed to him but it’s a mystery as to where the other drugs came from.

Of those watching the online suicide, some tried to talk him out of it while others encouraged him. The number of people that were watching is unclear.

Biggs intentions to commit suicide were stated on bodybuilding.com. Some users did not take him seriously since he had made statements about killing himself before.

Biggs was found when the moderator of the body building site traced the teen’s whereabouts and called the police. Abraham was already dead by the time the police arrived around 3:30 p.m.

Biggs’ father stated that he was not home at the time of his son’s death. He also said that Abraham dealt with depression and bipolar disorder. He believed his son was doing better and was shocked by the suicide.

The Biggs’ family is upset that Justin.tv allowed such activities to be streamed online. Justin.tv, which Biggs used to display his live suicide, regrets the incident.
